BioStar Riders’ Crowning Achievements

It’s been a summer to celebrate here, thanks to Team BioStar!

Some would say that BioStar functions like a “well-oiled machine,” but I like to think of us as a tree with each of its parts working together for the wellness of the whole.

Tigger is the root system, the source and heart of BioStar. She delves roots deep into the soil to keep us secure and creates new root systems to keep us moving ahead. Our production team is the trunk, linking nutrients from the roots to the branches; and our customer service, marketing, and accounting teams are the branches, sharing nutrients throughout the tree. At the top of our tree is our sponsored rider team, the crown. They are the image of our tree and our cheerleaders. Most of our riders not only compete at the highest level of their sport, but are also operating or managing an equine facility on their own. As part of Team BioStar, they’re tasked with sharing and educating about BioStar products.

The longevity of our sponsored riders is a true testament to Team BioStar and its commitment to excellence. So, without further ado, here are some of the incredible accomplishments of some of our riders from this summer.

JJ Tate and Kynynmont Gunsmoke’s Gideon placed 6th in the nation in the Developing Grand Prix Championships at the Festival of Dressage last month. Gideon is a 15’2 Connemara powerhouse that JJ has been training over the past 4 years and states that “he has more scope in gaits than most warmbloods!” We look forward to seeing where these two go.

Skyeler Voss and Argyle have methodically moved up the levels over the past few years in eventing. This summer Skyeler and her OTTB, Argyle competed in his first CIC2*  at the New Jersey Horse Trials, where they placed 3rd! Argyle was also recognized at the Thoroughbred Owners & Breeders Annual Awards Banquet in Lexington, Kentucky as the Rood and Riddle Thoroughbred Sport Horse of the Year. Go team checkers!!

Shelly Francis and Danilo’s winning Grand Prix Freestyle at CHIO Aachen in the LUMILEDS-Preis CDI4* didn’t leave a dry eye in the office. Their stunning routine was nearly perfect with a score of 79.305%. Congratulations on your inspiring performance in Germany Shelly and Danilo!

Allison Kavey has had a successful summer of showing, most recently at the Stockade at the beginning of August. “Cacharel was reserve champion FEI high score for her I1, and Utopia and I managed a respectable first I2 today for a 68%. Utopia really outdid herself Friday in the pouring rain with her freestyle, scoring a 76.5.”

Ali Perkins received her Gold Medal in Dressage last month on board her Dutch Warmblood, Sante. Congratulations Ali!

Kaitlin Blythe had an amazing show at the Capitol Dressage Classic in Raleigh this past June where she had a clean sweep of every class entered! “Edy made her debut in the Developing PSG, and scored a 68% in the qualifying class, so we’re off to a great start! Claudia Cooper’s Frontpage felt like a seasoned show horse this weekend, and won his Third Level classes with a 65% and 67%. Oakdancer Farm’s Sonny won the 4 year old qualifying class with a score of a 7.56, with potential for much more as he gets stronger! Carolyn Nordberg’s Jeremy went to his first show with us, won his training level class on Saturday with a 71.8%, and even though he was very tired, he still scored a 7.0 in the 4 year olds, he has such a wonderful character!” Way to go Kaitlin! We look forward to your continued success.
