Besides participating in various benefits that are close to our heart, every quarter, BioStar pledges proceeds from our products to go to deserving organizations, such as environmental groups, rescue centers, and other groups that are doing good work to help our earth and its creatures.

The Equestrian Aid Foundation (Wellington, FL) provides emergency financial grants to members of the equestrian community throughout the United States who are struggling to overcome catastrophic illness, injury, or other unforeseen crisis. In 2023, we saw the true benefits of the EAF at work through the support of Jonathon Millar, a severely injured Biostar rider, now on his way to recovery. “Together, we can ride it out.

Maui Humane Society is a non-profit organization whose mission is to protect and save the lives of Maui’s animals, accepting all in need, educating the community, and inspiring respect and compassion towards all animals. They have been actively involved in rescuing and sheltering animals affected by wildfires in Hawaii, providing emergency veterinary care, temporary housing, and facilitating reunions between pets and their owners.

Pollinator Partnership is a non-profit organization and the largest in the world dedicated exclusively to the protection and promotion of pollinators and their ecosystems. Their mission is to promote the health of pollinators, critical to food and ecosystems, through conservation, education, and research.

Project Street Vet is a non-profit public charity that provides free veterinary care, treatment, and support to the pets of individuals experiencing homelessness and/or housing vulnerability. Project Street Vet leads with compassion, kindness, and no judgements, and will seek out and assist the pets and people who need it most.

Caring for Creatures is a no-kill shelter in Palmyra, VA, established in 1987 dedicated to caring for homeless animals and enhancing the human-animal bond by providing a safe and healthy environment in which to rescue, rehabilitate and re-home abandoned, neglected, abused, or otherwise homeless dogs and cats.

American Forests inspires and advances forest conservation by protecting and restoring threatened forest ecosystems, promoting and expanding urban forests, and increasing understanding of the importance of forests. They work with city governments, local tree-planting groups and other NGOs to expand urban tree canopy and green space in cities across America.

Hope’s Legacy Equine Rescue in Afton, VA is an all-breed rescue, working to save equines from a variety of situations including abuse, abandonment, neglect, slaughter or whose owners can no longer care for them. They provide rescue regardless of age or disability. Horses are rehabilitated and placed in adoptive homes whenever possible.

American Farmland Trust, created in 1980, speaks for the land—and for the people who grow our food. They work with three priorities: protecting agricultural land, promoting environmentally sound farming practices, and keeping farmers on the land.

JustWorld International provides a unique opportunity for equestrians and individuals to learn about, experience, and contribute to a global campaign against poverty. JustWorld is an Official Charity Partner of the Fédération Equestre Internationale (FEI), the largest governing body of equestrian sports. JustWorld unites thousands of riders from around the world to give children a leg up to a brighter future.

Danny & Ron’s Rescue is a non-profit organization that rescues puppy mill dogs, bait dogs used in dog-fighting, and hundreds of dogs from shelters—often moments away from euthanasia. They deliver pet food and supplies to more than 48 elderly people living in poverty—and pay for their dogs’ medical bills, too. They’ve rescued dogs from junkyards and shelters, freed animals chained to trees and living in small cages, and saved abandoned pets living on the streets.

Waterkeeper Alliance is a global network of grassroots leaders protecting everyone’s right to clean water. It is made up of over 290 Waterkeeper Organizations and Affiliates protecting rivers, lakes and coastal waterways on 6 continents.

Green Dogs Unleashed is a non-profit organization in Troy, Virginia, committed to rescuing animals in need, rehabilitating them and professionally training them to become therapy dogs and then placing them in homes to give back to the community. They focus on the rescue, rehabilitation and training of special needs animals to work with special humans in need.

Brother Bear Equine Foundation is a nonprofit that focuses on supporting the healthcare of horses at risk. The Foundation was created in memory of Brother Bear, an elderly quarter horse who starved to death in a grassy field because no one took care of his teeth. The Foundation honors the memory of Brother Bear by contributing to the health care costs of horses in need.

RedRover helps animals rescued from disasters or neglect, domestic violence victims seeking safety with their pets, and animals with life-threatening illnesses. They use innovative solutions to prevent cruelty and provide resources for animals in danger, such as the animals impacted by wildfires in the Western US.

The Humble Project is founded by equestrian Brianna Noble, and Humble’s mission is to expose the underprivileged and marginalized communities to the horse world, foster respect, confidence, and accountability for urban youth through equine experiential learning. Humble’s goal is to provide equestrian programming for underprivileged youth completely free of cost.

American Pets Alive! is dedicated to ending the urgent crisis facing shelter animals by helping save the millions of dogs, cats, and other potential pets needlessly being killed across the country each year by being leader in creating a world where shelters have the tools, resources and knowledge necessary to be safe havens for animals until their families are found.

Horses for a Change provides high quality riding instruction and therapeutic riding for individuals of all ages, experience, abilities and backgrounds at Frog Hollow Farm in the Hudson Valley.

Big Dog Ranch Rescue was founded on the idea that every dog deserves to live and, most importantly, to live a full and happy life. It is the largest cage-free, no-kill dog shelter in the USA.

The Honeybee Conservancy focuses on Bee Sanctuaries, Local Food, Education, and Outreach, including a national Sponsor-A-Hive program which strategically places buzzing bees in gardens and urban farms that grow fresh produce for schools, soup kitchens, senior citizen centers, and low income neighborhoods.

The Peeps Foundation is dedicated to helping neglected minis, specializing in those with dwarfism. When minis and dwarves enter care at the Peeps Foundation, it is for a very specific health reason, usually one that owners felt they could no longer manage on their own. 

The Environmental Working Group a non-profit, non-partisan organization dedicated to protecting human health and the environment. From households to Capitol Hill, EWG’s team of scientists, policy experts, lawyers, communication experts and programmers work to stand up for public health when the government and industry won’t.

Pixie’s Pen Pals is a center for rescue dogs in Central Virginia. Through a partnership with the Virginia Department of Corrections, this program not only lowers the rate of euthanasia in Virginia’s city dog shelters, but also provides life skills to inmates. These skills and attributes are acquired while training a dog that may not have had a chance for a happy life.

National Disaster Search Dog Foundation (SDF) is a non-profit, non-governmental organization based in Santa Paula, California, whose mission it is to strengthen disaster response in America by rescuing and recruiting dogs and partnering them with firefighters and other first responders to find people buried alive in the wreckage of disasters.

Second Chance Animal Rescue of Puerto Rico rescues, rehabilitates, and secures permanent homes for abandoned and abused dogs found on the streets of Puerto Rico. They also provide education regarding spay and neutering to help decrease the number of strays on the streets. SCARPR operates exclusively from donations and animal welfare grants, with the help of volunteers.

Cape Hatteras National Seashore’s wild horses, otherwise known as “Banker” ponies in Ocracoke, NC. True horses, descended from Spanish mustangs just like the Corolla and Shackleford horses. The herd has been cared for by the National Park Service since the early 1960s, but heir care and protection requires time and resources. Your support helped us adopt Little Doc!

Susie’s Senior Dogs is a nonprofit organization working to promote rescue and care for senior dogs, and to bring awareness to the plight of homeless senior dogs.  A popular social media presence, they post senior dogs who are looking for a home, adoption updates, and inspirational stories. 

Earthjustice utilizes over 100 lawyers across the country to advocate for wild spaces, wildlife, the ocean and the Arctic, as well as healthy air and water, and non-toxic environments, and to help strengthen the rise of clean energy. “Because the Earth needs a good lawyer.”

Puppies Behind Bars trains prison inmates to raise service dogs for wounded war veterans, and explosive detection canines for law enforcement. PBB programs bring the love and healing of dogs to hundreds of individuals every year.

The Pollinator Partnership is a non-profit organization and the largest in the world dedicated exclusively to the protection and promotion of pollinators and their ecosystems. Their mission is to promote the health of pollinators, critical to food and ecosystems, through conservation, education, and research.

Environmental Defense Fund focuses its efforts on clean air and water, abundant fish and wildlife, a stable climate, protecting nature and helping people thrive. What sets them apart is that they create solutions that also carry economic benefits — rewarding people for protecting the environment, not exploiting it.

String of Pearls Animal Sanctuaries is a string of private volunteers who have joined together to provide a no-kill alternative with a pre-designed, deliberately decentralized approach to the problem of unwanted animals. They offer fostering, veterinary assistance, and permanent sanctuary when need be.

International Lyme and Associated Diseases Society  is a nonprofit, international, multi-disciplinary medical society, dedicated to the diagnosis and appropriate treatment of Lyme and its associated diseases. ILADS promotes understanding of Lyme through research and education and strongly supports physicians and other health care professionals dedicated to advancing the standard of care for Lyme and its associated diseases.

K-9 New Life is an all-breed, no-kill dog rescue center in South-eastern Virginia for dogs with higher than average needs.  K-9 New Life takes in dogs from shelters when they have run out of time, are injured, or are too sick for the shelters to handle. They provide them with health care, rehabilitation, training, and a loving foster home until they can be adopted.

Eleventh Hour Foal Haven is a rescue center in Virginia for foals born from nurse mare farms. Nurse mare foals are often put down in order to feed and nurture other, more valuable mares’ foals. The 11th Hour Foal Haven saves foals of all breeds, colors, ages and sizes, provides temporary care for these foals as well as working to find their forever homes.

Friends of the Earth is part of a global network which helps to support solutions to deep-rooted environmental problems. They believe in taking a hard stand against unregulated and unlabeled biotechnology; both genetically modified organisms and the new synthetic biology that can be used in foods.

Almost Home Pet Adoption Center, also known as The Humane Society/SPCA of Nelson County (in Virginia), provides care and adoption of unwanted companion animals through a no-kill adoption center, foster care networks, satellite adoption venues, and kitten & puppy rescue/transport programs; by funding veterinary services and education programs; and, by controlling over-population through low-cost Spay-Neuter-Vaccinate and Feral Cat Trap/Neuter/Release programs.

The Xerces Society is a nonprofit organization that protects wildlife through the conservation of invertebrates and their habitat. For over forty years, the Society has been at the forefront of invertebrate protection worldwide, harnessing the knowledge of scientists and the enthusiasm of citizens to implement conservation programs.

American Rivers focuses on working with communities to stop polluted runoff and sewage spills, working to protect the water in rivers, organizing National Rivers Cleanup, and helping to protect the wild and scenic rivers and surrounding lands.

Navdanya International is actively involved in the rejuvenation of seed saving and seed diversity. It has conserved more than 5000 crop varieties. One of its other programs is Diverse Women for Diversity, founded as a global campaign of women on biodiversity, cultural diversity, and food security. It is the resurgence of crops like chia, that makes support of Navdanya so important.
