BioStar hears from 2023 Regional Fourth Level Dressage Champion Katie Robicheaux, who offers her tale of dietary challenge and triumph with co-champion Laney:

“After a few years of treating Laney’s ulcers with only medication, and not much success, I decided I needed a new approach.

Since I have my own issues with foods, I decided to explore a new diet. That’s when I called Tigger! Tigger suggested to remove all soy from her diet. We put her on alfalfa pellets and Renew Gold as a baseline along with Optimum GI.

Laney’s coat gradually started to get less dry and her random cases of skin bumps seemed to disappear. After two horse shows we did notice a change in her coat again and some bumps returned. I called Tigger and she suggested to add Hedgerow GI and Empower EQ hempseed oil to her food.

After about ten days, Laney’s coat was looking great again and her attitude was much improved! We also learned that Laney loves the oil!! We now refer to it as her salad dressing!

Laney has blossomed so much in her training on her new diet! She was regional fourth level champion as well as USDF Fourth Level Horse of the Year!

Thank you Tigger and BioStar for all the advice!”
