The Friesian Sporthorse mare, who is a crowd favorite because of her captivating presence in the ring and flashy appearance, has carried Koford to several consecutive national titles at the US Dressage Finals in Lexington, Kentucky, top finishes at the US Dressage Festival of Champions as well as other prestigious shows around the nation.

Koford and Adiah HP played a special role in the development of Star Power EQ.

As a loyal user of BioStar equine products for several years, Koford explained his excitement to be added to the sponsored athlete program. Although he uses multiple products with all of the horses in his barn, his personal favorite is Star Power EQ, the energy paste supplement that provides horses with lasting stamina, focus, immune support and gastric support. Koford and Adiah HP played a special role in the development of Star Power EQ, participating in beta testing of the product and offering their feedback to help make it the great product it is today.

Jim Koford | BioStar US“I’ve known Tigger long before she started [BioStar], and she has always been a go-to person on nutrition and supplementation for performance horses,” Koford said of BioStar founder Tigger Montague. “I’ve used her products with all of my Grand Prix horses through the years. For Adiah, she makes a great product called Star Power EQ. For instance today, we are getting both super high heat and high humidity [in Wellington]. She is three-quarters Friesian and she struggles with her breathing when it’s this hot. Her cardiovascular system is not efficient at cooling her, so I feel a lot more comfortable knowing that I have a product that actually helps her with stamina, endurance and recovery.”

Koford is excited to be back in the arena and competing in the Adequan Global Dressage Festival’s Week 5 CDI-W Grand Prix and Grand Prix Freestyle with Adiah HP following a couple months out of the saddle. In addition to Adiah HP, he is also working on developing partnerships with other mounts, one being a new Grand Prix mount named Flavius.
